When attempting to update an OLAP cube, you could receive an error like the following:

ERROR: An error occurred when accessing the cube GENMETA file.
ERROR: The physical cube cannot be deleted.

This error could mean that the user has attempted to access a cube with a host vector incompatible with the current SAS session.

Examples of when this error might occur are:

• a UTF-8 (DBCS) cube being accessed with an ASCII (SBCS) SAS session
• a cube being accessed was created on a different operating system

You must be consistent with the SAS environment that is used to create and update OLAP cubes.
